ECOPOLYMER AFT drainage-distributing system for rapid filters with any flushing type provides the following:

Structure of AFT drainage filters
- profiled frame pipe;
- water-distributing openings;
- stainless steel protective grid (over the openings’ cross-section);
- porous-filtration coating;
- water collecting and distributing gallery.
Porous-filtration coating has 0,1-0,2 mm pores and appears as low-level reverse filter, which forms a peculiar protective screen in case of probable contamination skipping through the granular bed. Therefore AFT drainage filters provide both water matching and distribution technique and water supply reliability growth.
Frame of the drainage filter and diffuser is made of ribbed thick-walled polyethylene pipe. Longitudinal framed ribs have three functions: mechanical, structural and hydraulic.
a. Mechanical. Framed piping rib appears as a stiffening rib. Thickness of АПМ-ДФ-115 pipe with the rib forms 16 mm. b. Structural. Ribs are foreseen for stainless steel protective screen fixing. c. Hydraulic. Ribs form the channels for water or air longitudinal motion between frame pipe and dispenser.
Existence of longitudinal channels provides maximum of drainage filter’s filtration surface appliance, even rinsing water outlet and even filtrate collection on the whole drainage filter’s filtration surface, excludes jet flow in granular bed, which allows to intensify wastes carryover and reduce duration period required for filtration bed flushing.
Applying AFT drainage systems promotes 10-20% reduction of rinsing water consumption for filtration material recovery as compared with another drainage systems, which is connected with lack of filtration bed jet flow.
