Aerating sand catchers Modern wastewater treatment technologies require application of sand catchers with 90% desanding efficiency. In order to solve this task ECOPOLYMER engineers apply sand catchers of different types and structures. Sand catcher’s type selection mostly depends on its specific features with regard to particular wastewater treatment technology.  One of the important ECOPOLYMER activity directions appears the reconstruction of existing horizontal sand catchers applying aeration system and desanding devices, which do not require sand catcher’s shutdown. The basis of the reconstruction consists in process design being carried out by our engineers. Based on the design it becomes possible to achieve twice-higher desanding rate and pulp sand content growth. An important effect of such reconstruction is a significant reduction of organic pollutants’ content in sand.
