Belt filter-presses

BFS series belt filter-presses

BFS series belt filter-presses are the result of ECOPOLYMER specialists and ACE KOREA INC engineers’ mutual collaboration. Currently the filters are being produced at ECOPOLYMER enterprise located in South Korea.

Advanced design and technology together with long-term quality, reliability and production standards traditions of South Korean staff have provided the best price and quality combination for BFS series belt filter-presses.

BFS series belt filter-presses refer to continuously working devices, which are foreseen for sludge, pulp and slurry treatment due to cloth pressure filtration method.

The main advantages of BFS series belt filter-presses

Squeeze rollers are settled in the plane closed to vertical. Each roller is equipped with separate water intake chute, which excludes filtrate being occurred at the previous of the next rollers.

Barrel-shaped rubber-coated rollers with spiral water discharging channels compensate rollers’ load deflection. Roller surface spiral channels provide free filtrate discharge.
Availability of stainless steel pan under the whole filter-press space together with separate filtrate and rinsing water collection exclude the necessity of tank concreting and save water for flushing.
Automatic feeder allows to provide sludge cloth width even distribution irrespective of sludge viscosity.
Supplementary squeezing system provides high constant pressure, which allows achieving of the required output dehydration rate.
Belt flushing system with self-cleaning nozzles, which is conformed to contaminations’ automatic discharging followed by its operating position returning. Lowering of rinsing water quality requirements; Possibility to apply the filtrate generated in process of dehydration for cloth flushing.

Equipment operation description

Initial sludge is continuously beingsupplied to the sludge and flocculant’s mixture by the dosing pump. Simultaneously flocculant’s process solution is being supplied by the dosing pump from the flocculant’s preparation station to the mixer.

The initial sludge is by gravity supplied directly to the filter-press (gravitation zone) or at first to the belt gravity thickener and then to the filter-press. Cloth width sludge even distribution is provided by the special device called an automatic loader.  .

After the gravitation zone sludge enters “wedge-shaped” zone and shearing compression zone where gradual moisture expression is being occurred. Subsequent sludge moisture reduction is occurred at the special device, which forms the enhanced pressure (supplementary compression zone). Compression pressure is being adjusted.

Dehydrated sludge (cake) is being supplied by loader to a feeding box where it is being loaded on a dump trucks, carts etc. and removed to the ground.

Belt flushing is accomplished under pressure through the framework-specific self-cleaning nozzles. Water supply for filter-press belts flushing is being accomplished from the flushing pump.
Applying the intake chutes flushing filtrate and water are being collected in a stainless steel underpan. It is foreseen the availability of separate cloth flushing filtrate and water collection.

Dehydration process control is carried out by the control cabinet where control, signaling and display elements are located.

Equipment technical features

BFS series belt filter-presses are produced in the following dimension types (regarding the belt width): 500, 700, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 mm. Filter-press system set may also include belt or drum thickeners, which enhance process line’s through productivity especially within weak sludge (5-20 kg of dry matter per sludge cubic meter) treatment.

Sludge dehydration process line consists of quite a number of ancillary equipment. ECOPOLYMER specialists will accomplish matching and supply of whole the equipment being included in sludge mechanical dehydration complex.
There are a number of other filter-press embodiments, which allows to meet the highest sludge treatment requirements.
