Reconstruction of sewage treatment plant of Vologda City

On March 10, 2010 between “Vologdagorvodocanal” MUE and Consortium of “Ecopolymer-M” CC and “VSK-Center” LLC (Leading Party - “Ecopolymer-M” CC) it was concluded the Contract Agreement (Contractor’s Agreement) on reconstruction of municipal sewage treatment plant of Volodga City which is currently actively running. The Contract is financed at the accounts of the Loan received by “Vologdagorvodocanal” MUE from the “Northern Dimension” Environmental Partnership.

The total Contract value of the Contract is EUR 1 668 548,00 and RUR 107 895 451,00.

As to the Contract it has been conducted survey and design works as well as supply of all the process equipment (pumping and mixing equipment, aeration system, air-blowing equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation, valves, two of three new blowers, sludge suction system for the new secondary sedimentation tank, shield gates).

On the site it has been completed construction of new pipelines for nitrate recycle and return activated sludge, as well as air ducts. It has been completed rehabilitation of two of five aeration tanks, reequipment of two of six primary sedimentation tanks into denitrifiers. It has been mounted two new air-blowers; they are foreseen to be started up.

Commissioning aimed at achieving of the design process mode as to the new process flow sheet as well as construction of the new secondary sedimentation tank are in progress on the site.

The works as to the Contract are going to be completed by August 30, 2012.
