Contract on Reconstruction of sewage wastewater treatment plant of Vologda City

On March 10th, 2010 it occurred the ceremonial signing of the Contract on Reconstruction of sewage wastewater treatment plant of Vologda City. The Contract was signed by and between Municipal Unitary Utility Enterprise “Vologdagorvodokanal” and the Consortium of “Ecopolymer-M” CC (Moscow City) and “VSK-Centre” LLC (Moscow City). The Consortium was awarded the Contract against the international Tender (according to the conditions of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) on fulfillment of reconstruction works out of proceeds of the grant, received by Municipal Unitary Utility Enterprise “Vologdagorvodokanal” from Northern Dimension Environmental Partnership. According to the Contract it is foreseen to carry out inspection and design, supply, mounting and commissioning of the new process equipment, as well as repair-and-renewal operations and construction of the new 40 meters diameter secondary settler. In the scope of the Project execution the following issues are to be implemented: Enhancement of sewage WWTP performance and wastewater treatment quality; Application of nitrification-denitrification technology in biological treatment process flowsheet in order to reduce the content of nitrogen compounds; Modernization of air-blowing equipment; Prospective reduction of dehydrated sludge transportation costs; Enhancement of automation level contributing to reduction of time for maintenance, executed by operating staff. All the works against the Contract are considered to be fulfilled within 20 months.
