Removal of Biogenic Compounds from Wastewater

A tendency to improve ecological state of water bodies requires accurate fulfillment of requirements for treated wastewater disposal.

We propose aeration tank re-equipment by means of separation of anaerobic and anoxic zones with mechanical mixing, and nitrification zones with pneumatic aeration. This method ensures efficient removal of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds from wastewater.

Calculation of the volume and location of anaerobic and anoxic zones is performed according to EcoSim computer program. With the help of the program static and dynamic behavior of the system “wastewater – activated sludge” can be studied.
