Accomplished projects in the field of water supply

Differently directed design series were accomplished by ECOPOLYMER in the field of water supply. They cover the scope of activities from experimental works on identifying of the most effective reagent for the plants to design and construction of new plants. The following works, which cover different technologies and purpose different objects might especially be marked:

Rapid filters and contact clarifiers of water preparation, aftertreatment and deironing rapid filters are equipped with the AFT drainage-distributing systems. Totally 450 rapid filters are introduced at 65 plants of CIS countries.



Deironing plant
Smela city, Cherkassy region, Ukraine

Aim: To improve the effectiveness of the existing deironing plants.
Processing inspection has been accomplished and the main causes of plant performance low effectiveness have been identified.
Reconstruction of the drainage-distributing system of 4 rapid filters (from current 6 filters) with air washing has been accomplished.
Filter material type and composition have been changed.

Accomplished reconstruction of 4 filters (from current 6 filters) has already allowed to obtain the required water quality in pure water tanks – potable water iron content conforms the standards.


AFT drainage-distributing system has provided required regeneration effectiveness of filter material and thus the effectiveness of deironing plant performance.

Barnaul city, Altai territory, Russia
Aim: to improve technical and economic indices of the rapid filters performance.
  • Filter material water flushing of the rapid filters has been changed to air-and-water flushing.
  • Filter bed filter material has been selected.
As a result of accomplished reconstruction of 6 rapid filters filter cycle has been 2-3 times increased and water consumption for washing has become two times less.

Aim: to improve the effectiveness of filter material washing.
Reconstruction of the drainage-distributing system of 3 contact clarifiers with air-and-water flushing (general area – 320 m2) has been accomplished.

Aim: to improve technical and economic indices of the rapid filters performance.
  • 4 rapid filters (general area – 500 m2) reconstruction has been accomplished.
  • As a result of reconstruction rapid filters performance has increased up to 10 %.

Aim: to increase water supply treatment plants performance by means of current plants modernization.
Accomplished issues:
  • Reconstruction of 2 clarifiers with suspended solid (drainage-distributing systems) and its equipment with thin-layer settling modules;
  • Reconstruction of the drainage-distributing system of 5 rapid filters;
  • As a result of reconstruction performance of water supply treatment plants has increased up to 30 %.
