MY DAF is a joint manufactured dissolved air flotation system. MY PROJECT provides the Czech Republic utilities and develops own SCADA system.

Dissolved air flotation is a physical process using fine air bubbles which attaches to suspended solids lifting them to the surface of the DAF cell. As the solids reach the surface the sludge becomes compacted and continues to dewater. The system is designed to scrape the sludge from the surface carrying it up and over sedimentation area into collection hopper for conveying to sludge tank. The clean water is allowed to discharge, and is either pumped or discharges by gravity to further treatment or to sewer.

Flotation is especially effective for meat-processing plants, slaughterhouses, poultry processing, fish processing, dairies and canning factories, oil, paper and textile factories among others.

«MY DAF» in these applications will reduces suspended solids, fats, oils in a well sized system by around 90%. When used in conjunction with chemical dosing greater removal rates can be achieved with colloidal material and some surfactants also being removed.

«MY DAF» unit can also be used for other application then the pretreatment of the food processing or of the industrial wastewater. The flotation unit «MY DAF T» (DAF for sludge thickening) is successfully used for biological sludge thickening or for the tertiary treatment of the suspended solids.

Main parts of flotation unit are:

Flotation tank with scraper - Available in AISI 304 and AISI 316

Recirculation circuit. Re-circulated water is injected with air and is held in suspension until released into the flotation zone, pressure vessel

Chemical Dosing  incs: primary coagulant and flocculation chemicals if required.

SCADA System developed by MY Project. It allows to control the technological process and to reduce OPEX.

Software provides:

  • automatic collection of information on the progress of the process;
  • automatic control of basic technological parameters;
  • visualization of technological parameters and the status of technological equipment on the control panels;
  • remote automated process control;
  • local process control;
  • implementation of the system of protection and interlocks;
  • implementation of the operator's notification system in case of emergency situations.
