The design of the control valves provides for the presence of two sluices – movable and fixed. Control is carried out by moving the movable sluice.

A fixed sluice tightly closes the channel, and the sluice seal is provided along the side walls and the bottom of the channel.

Control gates are available in two modifications:

• Overflow control gate (level control by liquid overflow through the top edge of the movable gate sluice);
• Water drain control gate (level control by liquid overflow through the water drain opening in the movable gate sluice);

Control gates are installed as follows:

• trench casing;
• anchoring to the walls and the bottom of the channel;
• overlapping to the end faces of the channel or the walls of the tank;
